does anyone know Where can I get this in Europe or a international website?

  1. You can purchase perillyl alcohol from Sigma chemical supplier, but the trick is to formulate it so it can be taken intranasally with a nebulizer.

    Matias, any comments?

Matias gets PA in Brazil through Clovis da Fonseca, who would probably be willing to help you get the formula made up locally, with the help of a local chemist and with your dad's oncologist on board. I'm not sure how much he is able to help if the oncologist is not on board, but I'll email you Da Fonseca's email address.

  2. I'll second the comment about needing the Oncologist on board. Clovis was willing to do all that Stephen suggested he would, but I was unable to convince our Oncologist that it was worth a try, so it came to nought....

    1. Hi, glowkeeper. Did you get an instruction from Dr. Clovis for the cemist to formulate it ? I think our oncologist would help us and make the prescription. Thanks a lot

    2. I contacted dr. Clovis about the perillyl alcohol. He doesn't want to give the formula, he wants us to come from Holland to Brazil or he comes from Brazil to holland on my bill. Quote: he needs to see the patients. But there is a patent online, so you can use that for the pharmacy, i am looking into it at the moment.

  3. Hi Stephen! I´ve been kind of away from the blog recently. As far as I recall, Dr. Clóvis is part of Sigma´s board. They sell it as a more purified version of ours, and I *think* they made it so it could be used just as our brazilian version: intranasally.

  4. Anyway, better to check with them directly! I guess Sigma would be able to answer to the same question too!

  5. @matias : someone made the perillyl alcohol for me. I used it a couple times with a nasal nebulizer , if i use it it hurts stings and burns like a bitch in my nose. Is this normal?!

  6. From what I can tell, a company called NEONC Technologies (https://neonctech.com) is making a synthetic version of Perillyl Alcohol that they call NEO100. According to their website:

"NEO100 is a highly purfied version of the natural product perillyl alcohol. In nature, perillyl alcohol is synthesized by several types of plants. It is commonly isolated from the essential oils of lavender, peppermint, spearmint, and some other plants."

"NeOnc Technologies, Inc., has secured worldwide rights to NEO100 and has obtained approval from the United States Federal Drug Administration (FDA) to perform clinical trials with this highly promising compound in patients with recurrent Grade 4 glioma."

When I contacted their representative regarding availability Patrick Walters (pwalters@neonctech.com) he replied,

"Mike: sorry to hear about your situation. Check on clinicaltrials.gov for the start of our trial in a few weeks."

  8. Our oncologist has been consulting with NeOnc. He said that the POH (perillyl alcohol) in NEO100 is purchased from Sigma and run through a purification process to make it 99% pure POH.

We have decided we don't want to wait for a recurrence to get into the POH clinical trial in the US so we are paying to have Dr. Clovis Orlando fly up from Brazil. He will be in the US twice over the next two months. If you want to email him he may be willing to see you at one of those locations while he is here. Then you don't have to pay his air and hotel, just his fee and your travel. The real challenge is that the POH has to be sent to a lab.

  10. Hi all,
Which POH would you prefer for intranasal POH?:(R)-(+)-Perillyl alcohol(99%):CAS Number 57717-97-2 or (S)-(−)-Perillyl alcohol(96%):CAS Number 18457-55-1.
    Both By Sigma.Thanks.
