Phosphoethanolamine / Calcium EAP and Magnesium EAP

Phosphoethanolamine is a big thing on Brazil right now... since they found a way to make it very cheaply on a lab.  Distribution has been forbiden, since it hasn´t passed all the necessary human tests yet.  So, people are importing Calcium EAP and Magnesium EAP from the States, which are supposed to have a high concentration of the substance. People with all kind of cancer seem to be benefiting from phosphoethanolamine.

Has anyone used them on their treatment?

Matias.

    1. I had not heard of this before until now. I did find a few studies in mice.

Here is a page with a number of links:

    2. I searched for studies on the drug meclizine to see if the (in vitro) mechanism discussed on the page above could be confirmed in vivo, but could not find anything.

  2. What a pitty! They are numerous cases of people that claim to be cure of many types of cancer using phospho! I though that using Calcium EAP or Magnesium EAP would be equivalent, but the link you posted said that phospho content in those products are about 10% of phospho pills, so it´s seems like they are not really a good alternative, as everyone here in Brazil seems to think.

    2. Dear Mr. Nair,

we are not chemistry graduates on this blog, but brain tumor patients. He asked nicely and I don't see any ignorance here, so we could try to keep a conversation on a polite level. And I am sure we could all benefit from your knowledge of chemistry, so thank you for your help

    3. I removed Mr. Nair's comment, as it was unnecessarily confrontational.

    4. So glad you did. I was shocked by the rudeness. Would be wonderful to have helpful advice from a chemist.

  3. I would have liked to have seen his comment. I would have certainly given him a nice explanation on why being a chemistry graduate doesn´t necessarily make one a good person! :)

  4. I just read his comment on my email. Instead of explaining to me that the information on the article that Stephen pointed me to was not correct, he decided to call me "chemistry ignorant". Well he´s is right, I know almost no chemistry, that´s why I ask, so informed people like him can make me wiser! :)

    1. Still, that kind of rudeness is unacceptable here. He didn't sound like a brain tumor patient or caregiver, not sure how he found this blog.

  5. Stephen, I don't know if his comments about how much stronger phosphoethanolamine is compared to EAP were correct. If they were, I supposed it'd worth to have them published, don't you think?

  6. Here is the potentially helpful part of his comment. I have not taken the time to verify whether it is correct:

"Calcium AEP and Phospho Ethanolamine have identical anions. Molecular weight of Calcium AEP is ~180 against 140 of Phospho. Thus the same weight of the substances will have inversely proportional number of the anions namely 78% (approx) and aprroximately same effectivenes if they have any action at all not 10% as you pointed out in your comment."

  7. who said 10% is wrong. it seens that using chemo plus AEP or brazilian phospo - chances of killing the tumor is quite big. However, stopping the treatment before the propper time can be devastating dangerous, ´cause theres the cancer rebounding effect.
