Hi All,

Anyone Here tried Cannabis oil? I am getting conflicting information regarding which is more effective in GBM. Is it a more THC component or a more CBD component? Also, what method have you found to be more effective and tolerable? I am being told sublingual but again, I am so new to this subject and am looking at your kind sharing of knowledge/ experiences to educate myself.

Would the Cannabis contradict with Avastin or with immunotherapy? I think I read somewhere that CBD can have anti oxidant characteristics which can protect the cancer Cells from dying?

I would appreciate Any tips or sharing of experiences.

Much thanks and God bless to all,
Noha

  1. Dear Noha, I'm certainly not an expert, but I will tell you what I know. Our UCLA NO recommended that we talk to a former UCLA internist who now works in medical marijuana. His recommendation for my husband, who was diagnosed May 1, 2015, was to use a sublingual cannabis spray, 1-1 ratio of CBD-THC, 3 sprays a time, 5 times a day. We use the product Care by Design. Even as of this past Wednesday, our NO recommends that we continue to use the spray, since it could help keep reduce inflammation and the possibility of seizure. My husband has been using this spray since last June. His tumor, though inoperable, has been stable. There is a lot of stuff on the web, easy to get lost. I hope this helps and happy to answer any other questions. ~Antoinette

    1. Hi Antoinette. Can you share the name of the UCLA internist. Who did you get the spray from?
      Thanks, Candy

    2. Dr. Allan Frankel, in Santa Monica. We buy the sublingual spray at a cooperative in Eagle Rock. The name of the company that makes this product is "Care by Design". I hope this helps.

  2. Thanks Antionette.. So the sublingual comes in a spray form? I thought it is a liquid form.. But again, I am so new to this. Can I ask you how much he takes? I mean the 3 sprays how much does it equate to in terms of grams? Many thanks for sharing your experience.

    1. His total take is about 180-200mg a day. Divide that up by 5 doses per day, 3 sprays per dose...

  3. Hi, I have been taking Cannnabis oil tincture for 1-2 months. My has 1:1:2 THC : CBD : Olive oil. I had no psychotropic effects at all, I just feel a bit dizzy and tired, but no other effects. It also fixed my nausea that was caused the the Temodar treatment. I am taking about 20 drops a day.

  5. Dear Noha,

I have a previous history of epilepsy and 2 years ago I got diagnosed with GBM. On Friday I found out that my tumor has reappeared. One of the options I'd like to explore is Cannabis oil. Because of my history of epilepsy I didn't want to take it without a supervision of a professional. A friend of mine found this website http://www.greenhealthconsultants.com/#!about-us/c11bi
You can contact them and make an appointment by phone.
    Good luck!
