  1. WOW, that's so good to hear some really good news in this blog. Wish all the best to you and your husband! My brother was diagnosed GBM in the summer of 2015. He was treated with surgery and TMZ, and we are also taking supplementary. Everything seems good up to now. Let's keep finger crossed.

  3. Hi Melinda, we don't know each other but my husband is on a cocktail similar to your husband's. It's so good to hear from "senior" members of this blog, especially such good news:) May your husband live long!

  4. hello Ildi,
thank you for kind words. I think we are in same situation due to geographic location. how can you manage with this gbm. with reduced financiar situation (low cost) :), but we also have some advantage, our believes. We believe in God, first of all, than we believe that food, the right choice of food can help for healing, and we believe in sort of magic, i can not explain here , but is close to religious believes. So head up, and go to fight this tumor, nothing is impossible!
and don't forget Love, is very powerfull! tell your husband you love him more than once/day. encourage him and make him feel that he can beat this tumor.
i read your post with interest, and i feel close to you. please don't be shine , and post here any change in your husband situation.
    have a very nice day:)

  5. Thank you for the encouraging words, Melinda! You are lucky that you and your husband have your strong beliefs. Based on my forum experiences a fair percentage of long term survivors have a strong faith. My husband is a huge atheist but at least he is a firm believer of cocktail approach. He says this is what differentiates him from the vast majority. As I read the Hungarian forum threads I have the impression that in my country nobody knows these excellent sources of information like this blog because of the language barrier. As far as we know the longest living survivor of this illness in my country is battling with GBM for 8 years. So it can hardly be a coincidence that in the US there are so many 10-15 years+ survivors and in an Eastern European country one patient who survives 8 years seems to be a miracle so I think patients (or relatives) need to be their own best advocates.

Our next MRI is scheduled on next Monday. Maybe I'll post an update after that if the results won't kick us in the eye. I't just that I don't want to bombard this blog although in the first few months I felt that I could have post a desperate question every day, now I have a bit more self-confidence. We'll see... Have a nice weekend and keep healing!
