Sourcing chloroquine

I have been using chloroquine phosphate (250mg od) as part of a cocktail for anaplastic astrocytoma. It is becoming increasingly difficult to source in the UK and I think most places aren't stocking it anymore (presumably because of malaria resistance). Does anyone have any advice on how I may go about sourcing more?
Any advice welcomed!

  1. Several years ago on this blog, somebody reported having been able to source chloroquine phosphate through a Canadian online pharmacy (northwest pharmacy). I seem to be unable to view their website myself - it just sends me to a "page cannot be displayed" page. The person who got the chloroquine from this source said that it had been manufactured in India.

  2. It is still available in Poland as Arechin (Chlorochini phospatas) made by a domestic pharmaceutuical company Polfa Pabianice, however it must be prescribed by a doctor.

I have two packages 30 tablets each, in 6 non-opened blistre, which I may gladly send you. The drug is valid till 02.2021. Please let me know, and if you want, please send your smail address to my private e-mail (I believe it is visible under the blog).

I am only afraid that customs may be involved after the Brexit...Perhaps you have a Polish friend, who travel forth and back - then I may send it to this Polish person.

    3. Its also available over the counter in spain from the pharmacy and in ireland with a prescription. It is currently being used to treat coronavirus and that could be the reason its not so available on the market. Along with other antivirals Valtrex, remdesivir, ritonavir....so people might have difficulty getting them for the BT cocktails.

    4. Hi Stefan, I’ve contacted Steve to get hold of your email address as would like to take you up on your kind offer (although it’s going to have to the mail now). I imagine he is very busy with all the madness that is engulfing the world. If there is anyway you can pass your contact details on to me (not sure how!?) that would be amazing.

    1. My dad is using it 1 year with zero side effects. His side effects are from the steroids/AEDs. It is approved to be used long term for service military people on missions in malaria places. It might have side effects if huge doses are taken and not the daily 250mg chloroquine phosphate (155mg active base)

  4. You can get it in Ireland with a prescription. You can get it in Spain without a prescription. It is being used to treat the coronavirus and so are 3 HIV drugs. Hence people are most likely stock piling it at the moment. It is definitely still on the market as it is prescribed as a treatment to lupus patients.
