Mom's white blood cell counts and Neutrophils dropped below lower threshold after 4 weeks of radio-chemotherapy and our cocktail which included many things... but I am suspecting this due to one of the following: Temodar, Celebrex, Chloroquine, Minocycline, Metformin or Artimisinin.
Our NO asked us to discontinue Temodar. She is not aware of our cocktail. I read online the Celebrex affects Neutrophils counts.
Any guess as to this is primarily due to Temodar or any other drugs? What medicines out of the above would you recommend us continue along with Radiation in case if we must drop Temodar for now?

I did fine on temodar but an a fellow AA Thrived had to stop temodar briefly due to a drop in the neutrophils.another option is the low dose used on the Cusp9* Protocol, however another Thriver just_failed that protocol and optune TTF.
ReplyDeleteFrom my daughter's experience, it would have been the Temodor. When WBC and ANC dropped too low, she would have to take a short break from Temodor until they rebounded. One thing they did after she needed a break two months in a row is lowered her dosage.
ReplyDeleteWe did not see any side effects on WBC and ANC with Celebrex.
My daughter's naturopath recommended Nucleo Immune (this can be bought on Amazon) to help WBC/ANC.
