Trending...big time -- Repurposing Zika against GBM

  2. This can be a total cure for GBM. Brain stem cells are natural enemy of ZIKA. The virus selectively finds and destroys stem cells without infecting differentiated healthy brain cells. GBM stem cells are mutated versions of brain stem cells and they are much more vulnerable to ZIKA. If i had a chance, i would find a way to be infected by ZIKA in natural ways.

  3. Yup - I've seen this posted everywhere. Of course, part of the reason it's gone viral is not necessarily because it is a breakthrough treatment for GBM, but because Zika was such big news a couple of years ago, due to it's (possible) negative consequences for the Rio Olympics.
