Mayo Clinic Adult Brain Tumor Webinar - August 13, 2015

On Thursday, Aug. 13th at Noon CT, Mayo Clinic will host an interactive webinar on Adult Brain Tumors:  From Diagnosis to Recovery. In this live, interactive webinar, Mayo Clinic neurosurgeon Ian Parney, MD, PhD, and neurologist Alyx Porter, MD, will discuss the diagnosis, management, treatment and recovery associated with adult brain tumors. Topics will include management and treatment options, such as surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and clinical trials, as well as recovery and quality of life.  A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

    BTW, Dr. Parney is a co-director of the SPORE at Mayo (Specialized Program of Research Excellence funded by NIH). He is one of the leads on oncolytic virotherapy with the Measles virus:

  4. I was able to attend. Very much worth watching, the presentation is available as a youtube video:

    They covered a lot of ground including brain cancer clinical trials run at Mayo (17 of them). Talked about immunotherapy and virotherapy (and combination of both). There was a QA session, Drs. Parney and Porter answered many questions from the attendees. They will continue answering questions this week.
