Hoxsey Clinic

Needing opinions out there...a friend of mine recently advised me to check out the Hoxsey clinic in Mexico.  I've researched it quite a bit but just wondering if anyone has heard of this clinic and/or visited.  Stephen, I know you are the "man" and hoping you could shed some light on the subject?  Curious if their tonics and supplements are similar to some most of us have in our cocktails. Thanks for your help!

  1. Sorry Daphney, I cannot shed any light on this subject. I hadn't heard of this clinic until now. The most specific information I could find on their website about what they do there is this:

"The treatments available at Bio-Medical Center include natural herbs, special diet, vitamins and minerals, lifestyle counseling, positive attitude, and conventional medical treatments when indicated."

As you know I am about "open-source" sharing of information. That's not the vibe I get from this clinic (secret tonic, almost no specific details of what they actually do there).

    1. Stephen, this is the video that my friend sent me to view regarding cancer cover-ups. I think the reason for the privacy is because of what happened to Mr. Harry Hoxsey and how the government shut his clinics down. The video is very interesting in some of the people who tried to use natural remedies such as the Essaic Tea. Take a look at it if you have time. I am quite familiar with the Hoxsey clinic. I lost a wife to cancer when she was 31 years old. We went to the Hoxsey clinic. The backstory to the clinic is interesting, including the battles Hoxsey had with the FDA and why their clinic ended up in Mexico. When I was there I talked to several of their patients with various forms of cancer and most believed they were benefiting from treatment. Since this was many years ago I do not recall if there was proof of benefit or these people were just optimistic. Their treatment consists of dietary considerations and various herb formulas. Treatment made no difference, did not even slow my wife's cancer. That of course does not invalidate their treatment, it just did not work for us. Maybe it does work for some. The ingredients of the primary Hoxsey herb formula can be found on the internet as I recall. Of course even if this herb combination, which is a combination of herbs with known anti cancer activity, is effective at treating some cancers some of the time, treating a GBM due to the BBB makes it another discussion altogether. I do not know if they make claims to successfully treating gliomas. Hope that helps.

    3. I think every cancer clinic, whether using "alternative" therapies or not, should be legally required, at least every 5 years, to publish progression-free and overall survival outcomes for every patient treated there. The same way that most clinical trials see publication, whether they have positive, negative, or null outcomes. This is the only way to make an informed decision about any kind of therapy.

Relying on a few patient testimonials isn't very convincing. That would be like a clinical trial only reporting the outcomes of the top 1% of long-term survivors and not reporting on all the others, and not providing any other statistics.

These are just my opinions and I encourage respectful disagreement.

    4. And I would say the same thing about the German immunotherapy clinics that we've been discussing. They should really be required to publish patient outcomes every few years, just as if it were a clinical trial.

  2. I will say this about the treatment, they have treated 10s of thousands of people since 1923 and they still have hundreds come each year, all word of mouth. If the treatment had no merit it would have died off decades ago. It is one of the most affordable treatments out there compared to others. I promise you it works, 100% no way, but it works.

  3. Ihave been to the Hoxey Clinic in Tijuana. At the clinic are two large visitors books. They are both crammed full of positive personal handwritten testionials of patients who have been cured of their cancers. If anyone from the clinic is reading this, I would sugest that those books be copied and put onto the net for all to see.
